Jo Bain - Artist

Contemporary

"Stark Black" series.
In 2008 I went through a metamorphosis in my artwork. I wanted my art to express more - to be more than decoration. I wanted to peel some of the layers of niceness away and paint raw emotion; to paint about the darker, deeper feelings, such as pain, loss and sadness.

As an artist we want our work to touch people. I paint to share my vision of the world and as an expressionist I want the viewer to feel what I feel.
