Jo Bain - Mixed Media Artist and tutor
Jo Bain's work is Bold, Distinctive & Colourful in her original expressionist style .
It's a window into another world, a chance to open your eyes to the abundant beauty of nature.
To rejoice in the simple everyday things.
The paintings are full of stories in layers of pure colours.
They come alive with the rich surface to paint on of natural fibres, leaves and tapa.
Jo Bain is based in Stanmore Bay, Whangaparaoa, with her husband, two teenagers and a 7 year old. The family business is based in Fiji where her husband has created a farm out of the jungle growing natural medicines such as Noni juice.
The whole family travels regularly to the islands to spend time at the farm house,
built on the highest point in the area with views forever , set in the unspoilt hills of Serua Province, Fiji.
